My LIRR Website Update February 2017

Here's a rear view of Shoreham station c. 1905 looking SE from within the rustic wooden entrance to the Shoreham Inn. Visible above the depot roof is the upper portion of Nikola Tesla's Wardenclyffe tower. Wardenclyffe was the original name of Shoreham. 2 of the best photos I have seen that fit our LIRR forum yet show absolutely no trains!
Amazing how people have rediscovered Tesla, a pioneer who died penniless and in almost obscurity in NYC. There is a plaque on the New Yorker hotel on 34th street side regarding Tesla.
