That's awful. I spent a fair amount of time going through his station restoration thread.... He put heart and soul, who knows what else into that project. And did so as professional as anyone could.

Living near right-of-ways since 1989. Old haunts include: childhood sightings of 669 being the last to "de-rust" the Berlin branch, late 90's summers trackside at the Wagon Wheel of Biddeford, ME, White River Junction, VT, Oneonta, NY, Colorado Springs, CO, and Santa Barbara, CA.

Damn. I'm so sorry to see this news, and even more sorry for the great loss felt by his family and loved ones.

I want to offer my condolences to the friends and family of Mike Capone...LIRRMIKE was an early
member and moderator from my own first years of membership at Railroad.net.

Thanks to NYandW Steve's research we all can remember his posts and thoughts about the LIRR...
