Are these side dump cars of the LIRR MOW Department? What load do we have and anyone with photos/info on these cars?

4. These all appear to be at the same locale, perhaps Maspeth?

The graffiti dates to the early 90s. Definitely not maspeth - is there a siding around bayside where this could have been?

The two tags on the windows were done by guys in NE queens who were caught - I want to say before 1993... Also the hacks were painted in LIC in the later 90s, and they were all in yellow/blue after that (except c66 of course)

Not Bay Team/Yard. I don't get out much but that looks like Yard A, the Big Stink somewhere West of 39th St?

Montauk cutoff midway between yard "A" and Dutch Kills.

I don't think the buildings match anything along the cutoff or A. There weren't many (any?) tall trees along the edge of yard A either.

There was, before the Yard got gutted for ESA. I would say this matches the building in pic#3:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7497528,-73.9341864,31a,20y,251.1h,79.32t/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en The windows on the edge of the building give it away.

Last time I was in that area was in the late '90s, and some parts of the yard's edge had been overrun by poison sumac and trees, I had been looking for a way out to get to Western Beef. Between the soggy ground (whole area was marshy after a good rain), and the dense overgrowth of weeds and sumac on the edge of the yard, I'd learn to use the stairs at Q to get to the street. Pic#2 would be Yard A too, but finding that building maybe tough now with all the redevelopment going on. First one has me stumped though.

Thanks, Krispy... Those side dump cars: LIRR MOW series, destined for? Is this part of the ESA project? Anyone with photo/data on these?

#3 - you're right, that is A. I was thinking of buildings closer to honeywell. Not 100% sure on #2, will have to look through other yard A photos from that era.

I agree with Krispy. I believe the location of picture # 3 with caboose 56 is very close to where 41st Avenue dead-ends at the north side of Sunnyside Yard (former LIRR Yard A). This location is just west of where the LIRR ESA "Q-tip" tunnel site is located today.

As a youth in the mid 1960s to mid 1970s, I lived about a mile from there, and that was one of the places I would walk/bike to get a closer look at the railroad.

The above pic is most certainly the wash track and runaround track at Hunterspoint Avenue. The location is just east and south of the station. Work going on here is probably preparing for the circus train's animal and merchandise cars arrival, or MW access for an upcoming large project like the Harold Interlocking renewal in the early 90's. Probably shot from the overpass over the station looking east.

Jack: That would be the old Westinghouse building, I believe. Thanks folks. Thus, the LIRR has a 6000 series of these side dump cars. Any idea how many?
