Signals east of Ronkonkoma on the Main Line

Postby Teutobergerwald » Mon Oct 17, 2016 7:34 am

I thought the Main Line east of Ronkonkoma was dark territory, but while looking at pics of various locations, I saw signals with red and yellow lights trackside. Can someone elaborate ???? Thanks.

Those are block limit signals. Basically nothing more than sticks in the ground with lights on them. They denote the limit of each block and you need authority to pass them.
