My friend Rob Selberg was at Danville this afternoon and watched the SLR512 crew hand over the 52 to Pan Am. He said it looked to be set on the DJ2 track in the yard. Here is his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9RUHsNFt4o

The 4/30/16 Monthly Loco Report on Guilford Rail Sightings says that both the #52 and #77
are out of service at Waterville. No other details. Thanks to B. Goodrich for his work on
these monthly reports.l

For your viewing pleasure, a video by Derek Carpine — probably the best video ever shot of a Pan Am heritage locomotive:

Wow, that was a stunning video. Drones are really going to turn it up to 11. Amazing how stable the footage is. Very cool, thanks

As stellar as the video is, the audio is as well. For those of us who were younger when 567s were younger, having some time with not just tracking photography but also tracking sound -- sound without the Doppler compression and extension of the power approaching and leaving a static camera portion -- is particularly appreciated.

Agreed about the audio.

In case anyone was curious (as I was), Derek told me that he records the audio separately from the video. (You'd only here the buzzing of the drone's motors otherwise.)

Agreed - awesome video!

Little bit of Drone Wars going on there... anyone else notice the second drone that flew right by Mr. Carpine's?
