Apparently the borrowed MoW brigade was last spotted at Erving/Wendell area.

Track panel is being constructed at Hampshire St in Auburn. Two new pieces of stick rail laid on top of the ties.

on the west end various equipment of r j corman has been observed doing a variety of mow between zoar and deerfield. unclear what work is being done but their work in conjunction with a small par gang has interrupted normal train movements for the past week.

FI-1 jockeyed 5 more company gons loaded with ties to the House track at Gardner today (turns out 5 gons is the House track's max capacity). Lots of white pick-up trucks (including one hi-rail) parked at Gardner yard today as well.

Looks like there's a panel at Shawsheen St in Tewksbury. Perhaps they'll be doing this over the weekend, while the MBTA is tearing up CPW WJ and working out cutting over CPF LJ.

Following up on johnpbarlow's of 10-19, predawn 10-21-2017 there were 2 major loose-tie stacks along 2 in Gardner, 1 by the air plant, the other just west. The House was filled with track equipment, and there were 2 utility trailers between the Heywood and MART fence.

Is the goal to get to 40 or just to get rid of the 10s?

Never will be 40 again with the "PA" in PAS.

Surprising that Pan Am dropped welded rail on the straight portions of the line and not just the curves and jointed portions of the line. There is a section of jointed rail between CPF-303 and West Chelmsford, one would have thought that those locations would be where the new rail would be eventually installed. Also, along one straight section of tangent track west of CPF-309, the existing 132lb rail is being replaced with new smaller 115lb, wonder why they are not using the same size rail?

RJ Corman installing the welded rail between CPF 312 and 309 today. Too bad Pan Am didn't replace more ties last year .

Work continues between CPF 312 and 309 on rail installation by Corman. Equipment is stored at night on track 2 at Graniteville. Crossings are "stop and protect" due to rusty rail.
