new siding in Northfield Ma

Guilford Rail System changed its name to Pan Am Railways in 2006. Discussion relating to the current operations of the Boston & Maine, the Maine Central, and the Springfield Terminal railroads (as well as the Delaware & Hudson while it was under Guilford control until 1988). Appears to be for gravel pit. Ties for new siding are MDOT. PAR old ties (some burned) still near row for what looks like at least a quarter mile and brush cut recently.

Is the place you are talking about off Route 142 on the western side of the town (the part of Northfield to the West of the Connecticut River)?

Yes. Those piles of old ties need to be removed yesterday.
