Guilford Rail System changed its name to Pan Am Railways in 2006. Discussion relating to the current operations of the Boston & Maine, the Maine Central, and the Springfield Terminal railroads (as well as the Delaware & Hudson while it was under Guilford control until 1988). They only have rights to existing business. They gave up their rights to new business when they sold the Grand Junction to the state.

I spotted what looked like CSX units hauling empty gons inbound over the bridge near BU late yesterday afternoon. IS CSX also hauling the dirt gons to Everett?

Nope...that B721 heading to Everett with scrap cars for loading. They came out later with 7 loads.

Steel prices must be up as B721 scrap car counts have been up lately. 16 empties yesterday to
the scrap dealer.

I believe they are there has been a scrap ship in there a lot lately even holding up the Gas ship.

Whew! I was concerned that at the rate dirt was being removed, Everett would cease to exist!

On that note, if anyone has yet to go by on a Rockburyport Train, I highly recommend it. The pit/casino basement is massive and with all the cranes towering over it, it is quite a site to see!
