Nice Amtrak PR video. What LD trains are in the video? Especially the first one, and then a three unit one (Empire Builder?) The Crescent is crossing the lone bridge near the end. But what about the single unit train shown?
Almost the entire first 2 minutes of the 2.5 minute video, where the Dining car and Lounge cars were separated by two coaches, was the Empire Builder, the train at the coast was certainly the Coast Starlight, it even had the tell-tale Pacific Parlour car. I agree the Viewliner train was the Crescent either entering or exiting New Orleans. I'm thinking the last Superliner train in the desert was the Southwest Chief, it wasn't long enough to be the California Zephyr or the Sunset Limited, imho.
07/12/17 Here is a video of Amtrak Empire Service train 233, coming from Grand Central Terminal. Passing University Heights with Phase III P32AC-DM 711 leading. P42DC 114 cabcar brings up the rear. This was the first Amtrak out of GCT since 91. Enjoy!
07/18/17 Here is a video of Amtrak Empire Service train 236, heading past University Heights to Grand Central Terminal. P42DC 95 leading with Phase III P32AC-DM 707 bringing up the rear. Enjoy!
07/24/17 Here is a video of Amtrak Northeast Regional train 140 blasting through Jersey Ave. Led by Veterans Unit ACS64 642 or the "pretty one." Nice horn and lights from the engineer. Enjoy!
08/03/17 Here is a video of Amtrak Empire Service train 235. Rolling through Spuyten Duyvil on Metro North's Hudson Line, with a GE Genesis at both ends (P32AC-DM + P42DC). Emjoy!
09/01/17 Here is a video of Amtrak Empire Service train 236 flying down the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. With Metro North Express 846 hot on its heels! I'm sure the Amtrak left it behind at some point lol. Enjoy!
