Northeast Regional Trains 96 and 66 (Newport News, Va. – Boston) will operate between Washington, D.C. and Boston.
The Carolinian Train 80 (Charlotte – New York City) will operate between Charlotte and Raleigh.
The Palmetto Train 90 (Savannah, Ga. – New York City) will operate between Washington, D.C. and New York City. No alternate transportation will be provided.
MINOT, N.D. - A BNSF freight train’s first two engines have derailed just west of Minot.
An Amtrak train that was scheduled to depart to Seattle more than nine and a half hours ago has been sitting at the Minot station due to the derailment.
The rail is currently being fixed now and the Amtrak should depart this evening at 6: 30 p.m. but will be heading to Spokane, Wash., instead.
