Help getting first scanner

Postby sullysullinburg » Tue Jun 13, 2017 1:48 pm

Hello,

I will be taking a railfanning trip this summer and was thinking about picking up a scanner. Can anyone recommend a fairly cheap portable one? It doesn't need to be fancy, just something small that can pick up 161.01 . Thanks!

With Radio Shack "belly upped",you might try to find a place that sells the Uniden scanner line of scanners,
there're some good handheld units that you could check out.
