They pop up every now and then along with TFM units. As odd as it is Most of the Mexican units that I have ever seen were more commonley seen during the winter months between January and late Febuary.
no matter the weather or the country I'll still be trackside!

Hi,

I'm new around here but did notice this thread, I was able to catch this consist on Q381, photo link below on the Cleveland Short Line Sub in East Cleveland, OH. Would anyone happen to know what the special emblem means under the Ferromex name on the long hood? It reads "diexanos 1998-2008", thanks for any replies.

The Mexican Rail net work was once the mighty N De M which was owned by the Mexican Government up till 10 years ago the Government sold the N De M in parts to the public sector where lines such as FCP, TFM, and FXE are now the 3 big railroads in Mexico. There are also a few reginals in the mix along with a few narrow gage mineing railroads in Mexico as well.

I just saw a FerroMex unit going north yesterday when I was working at the nursery. The nursery that I work for is in Kelso, Wa and BN's main set of tracks are right on the edge of the nursery's property. I was working out at the nursery yesterday, and I looked up when I heard some train crossing by, and it was a FerroMex unit. I sure did think that was interesting, because I googled it. Funnier yet, my step-dad was in Vancouver fishing in the Columbia River, and he looked up and saw that same train before I did (Vancouver is 60 miles south of Kelso, Wa), and he asked me about that train as he has never seen it before. I told him that I googled it and what it was, and he asked me what the hell is that thing doing up in this area? So it must be heading up to Seattle. I dunno... any other Northwestern'ers seen in here seen it?
