Hello everyone,

I would like to know what a Railroad Trainmaster does? And how come many railroad employees view them with disdain? Thanks

Trainmaster is a T&E supervisor, usually promoted out of ranks , their main job is T&E rules enforcements including radar, outside liaison during accidents, administratief assistent.
If Conductors are in charge, why are they promoted to be Engineer???

Usually promoted out of ranks?? Not anymore. They hire TM's straight out of college these days. They don't have a single clue how to railroad.
