Discussion of the L&NR railroad for the period 1868-1961 at its inclusion in the Central of New Jersey. Also includes predecessors South Mountain and Boston Railroad, Pennsylvania, Poughkeepsie and New England Railroad, and others.
Just an update, volume 2 is close to being released. It will cover the cement belt from Bath to Martins Creek, including joint switching operations of the Northampton & Bath and Lackawanna railroads, as well as main line operations from Pen Argyl to Maybrook.
It will likely be released the weekend of Feb 25th/26th at the Allentown Ag Hall train show. I'll keep the board updated.
Riding the rails of the past via media and exploration
Just a heads up, I have released another DVD with LNE content, Along the Bridge Lines to Maybrook. While only half is dedicated to the LNE, this portion covers primarily steam with the maiden run of the Alco FAs from Pen Argyl to Maybrook and return.
The other half covers the LNE's sister bridge route, the LHR from the Lahigh Valley to Maybrook from the late 40's to the 1970's
