Did the L&NE go into Maybrook Yard on its own track like the L&HR did ?

Short answer- no.

The L&NE's owned trackage ended at Pine Island Junction, just north of Pine Island NY. From there, trackage rights on the Erie's Pine Island branch to Goshen NY, then trackage rights on the Erie's Montgomery branch to Campbell Hall. New Haven from Campbell Hall into Maybrook- the CH interchange was used by the Erie, NYO&W, and L&NE.

FWIW the L&NE also rode on Susquehanna rails for a good portion of their trip across N.W. New Jersey.

According to the 1966 employee time table L&NE went as far as Martins creek. About 28 miles.

Try again... Try the L&NE Railroad, not Railway.

Indeed. Seems to be a confusing issue, especially to younger fans...

The L&NE RAILROAD folded it's tent at the end of October 1961. (It actually was only the railroad division of Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company, not a stand-alone railroad.)

On 1 November 1961 operations on branches in Pennsylvania were assumed by the newly formed L&NE RAILWAY- a different entity, with a similar name.
