Alabama & Missisippi RR

Anyone know the history of this RR and what RR('s) it evolved into? Apparently they made their own currency back in the day though that may not have been that unusual?

This site has some limited information about the original railroad, and the company that took over when the first railroad failed. As to the printing money, they may have operated on a scrip system, many southern corporations did, and they were originally owned by a lumber company.
