Augusta, GA street running

Postby scooter3798 » Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:32 pm

I know that there is street running in Augusta (I think 6th street), however does any one know how long the stretch of street running is. Also how many trains use it, and does any one have any shots of it. I have only been able to find a few shots of it and I would like to see more.

6th street's trackage, from Reynolds to Taylor street is still in use. Length, I'd put it at maybe a quarter of a mile. The trackage used to be VERY extensive in that area. As for use... Well, it sees about 4 road freights a day.
