And for what it's worth. about six miles further east, the old Iron Horse Hotel has been put under new management, remodeled and reopened as the Alburtis Tavern. The junction with the former Catasauqua and Fogelsville. interlocked and remote-controlled, is directly across the road. No sidewalk cafe' or short term room rentals as yet, but one hopes the word will spread.
What a revoltin' development this is! (William Bendix)

Main Street Grill in the Elnora section of Clifton Park, NY is good for D&H, NS, and Guilford. This is a fairly busy line, and the food is good too.

Mokena, IL has a couple of them, both by the downtown Metra/Rock Island station:

Egg Cetera Cafe (breakfast/lunch only), across Mokena St. from the station
Annie's Cucina, across Front St. (closed Mondays, lunch/dinner)

Annie's has an upstairs bar and grill with a panoramic view of the tracks, while Egg Cetera is right at trackside. Both of them have excellent food as well.
When it's a tie at the railroad crossing, you lose.
