The Strates Shows were at the Alleghany County Fair in Angelica this week which ends Saturday (7/21). Angelica is far from an active rail line so they must have driven their equipment in from somewhere else. Their next two events through August 5 are in Oswego and Elmira. Their web page doesn't show previous appearances. Perhaps with their present practice of hauling only equipment by rail, the BS makes a convenient loading site after transporting their stuff by road within a given area and finishing their run at the Erie County Fair.

While the train certainly could go to both Oswego and Elmira by rail, it may cost more to have the train moved that relatively short distance than to drive what's needed to those places. A storage track may be an issue, also.
