New Jersey Train Wrecks

Postby kilroy » Mon Nov 27, 2017 3:47 pm

The Star Ledger had an article today about New Jersey's deadliest train wrecks.

Fair use quote:

One of the most frightening thoughts a commuter can have is that their train is going to crash.

Statistically, however, riding the rails is safer than travel by car.

But that doesn't mean it's entirely without risk. Some New Jersey rail disasters have made national headlines, and one crash is considered among the worst in American history.

Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways?

They had some with one fatality. Should have included the first one on the C&A near Jamesburg, at least one of the Blue Comet, and I would like to have seen the one in Belmar in 1910? when one train ran into the back of another and killed a young girl de-training.
