Postby railtrailbiker » Mon Jun 20, 2005 12:52 pm

ROSENDALE - A 26-year-old man who had climbed about 100 feet up the trestle for the old railroad bridge that crosses the Rondout Creek was rescued by firefighters Sunday after spending most of the morning clinging to the structure, officials said. The man, Brandon M. Baldwin of Hackensack, N.J., was found to be drunk and admitted to police to having used methamphetamines, but was cooperative when a firefighter secured him to a harness and lowered him to the ground, police and fire officials said.
