Why has GNWR stock gone from 15.00 to 27.00?

I checked with my broaker Edward Jones and they told me that in a short week the stock went from 15.00 to 27.00. It one of those fish stories if what if should have and could of !

He is talking about Genesee & Wyoming which is a publicly traded company. This forum is about Genesee Valley Transportation, which is a private company and no publicly traded stock.

FWIW, G&W stock has behaved much like most railroad stocks this year.
