Mystery PS streetcar scene

Postby bonaire » Tue Jul 11, 2017 6:55 pm

If anybody could figure out what this photo is about, it's someone in this forum. Attached is a photo from the late '40s, I think, showing two PS streetcars, both facing the same way, a 29 Bloomfield and a 23 Central on "special" duty. The 23 seems to be on a track that ends at the intersection, and the 29 motorman is at his door, yelling something to the 23 motorman, who's standing in the "wrong" end of the car, according to the trolley pole direction, joined by a guy in a suit and tie. Where are they, and what's going on?
